Social space

Fellow Intranet offers the option to create a social space where members can come together to connect, share updates, and socialize. This space is ideal for fostering better connections within the organization, allowing members to get to know each other on a more personal level and share experiences such as team events, personal news, and more.

Setting Up a Social Space

Like all spaces in Fellow Intranet, a social space can be fully customized to suit your needs. Here are some common features typically included in a social space:

  1. Social Timeline: A social timeline serves as the central place for members to post updates, share personal news, or start conversations. Members can engage with posts by commenting, reacting with emoticons, and sharing content.

  2. Event Widget: This widget allows you to display upcoming team or organizational events. Members can see event details, sign up for events, and stay informed about upcoming activities.

  3. Picture Albums: Include albums for members to upload and share photos from team-building activities, company events, or other social gatherings. This fosters a sense of community and lets everyone enjoy visual memories together.

  4. Members Widget: The members widget displays the participants of the social space, allowing members to easily find and connect with colleagues within the space.

  5. Colleague Pictures & Birthdays: Optionally, you can add widgets that highlight colleague profiles, photos, and birthdays. This can create a more personalized space where members feel more connected to each other by celebrating milestones like birthdays or work anniversaries.

Customizing the Space

As with all spaces in Fellow Intranet, you can fully customize the layout and content of the social space to fit the culture and needs of your organization. You can add or remove widgets, adjust settings, and tailor the design to create an engaging and interactive environment for your members.

By creating a social space, you provide a platform for your members to connect on a more informal level, building stronger relationships and fostering a sense of belonging within the organization.
