Logs

Fellow Intranet provides extensive logging of actions performed on the platform. These logs are invaluable for webmasters in troubleshooting issues and understanding what actions were taken on the platform. Logs can be found in Setup > Logs.

Why are logs important?

The logs serve several key purposes:

  • Audit Trails: Keep a detailed record of actions for auditing and security purposes.
  • Issue Tracking: Identify the cause of problems, such as when a space was added or a user was deactivated.

Logs provide critical insight into what happened on the platform at any given time.

Search and Filtering

To make navigating through the logs easier, Fellow Intranet allows you to:

  • Search within the logs for specific actions, users, or events.
  • Filter logs by date, user, or action type to quickly find relevant information.

These features help you pinpoint exactly what you're looking for, making logs a powerful tool for platform management.

Deleting Logs

While logs can be deleted, there are important things to consider:

  • Warning! Logs are essential for analytics and audit trails. Deleting logs can negatively affect the accuracy of historical reports and may impact future statistical features.
  • Deleted logs cannot be restored, and once they are removed, they are permanently lost.

Recommendation

It is highly recommended to keep all logs. If you are unsure of the consequences of deleting logs, it is best not to proceed without further consultation.
