Tips for preparing PowerPoint slides
- Always bear in mind that learning content is viewed on various platforms and end devices (mobile phone/tablet/laptop/desktop) and content should therefore be designed as clearly as possible.
- Rule of thumb: 6 lines of text per slide with 6 words per line
- Notes on slide headings:
- You can display the headings in the respective slides or
- You use the titles in the respective learning steps.
- When you have the system convert a PowerPoint into a course, the titles in the course steps are automatically hidden by the system to avoid double headings (in the PPT and in the learning step).
- Stay static. If possible, do not use any effects or animations on the slides
- A font size of 30 or 40 is appropriate
- It is best to place longer texts in the notes area of PowerPoint. These are then imported. When importing, make sure to select the Add notes checkbox.
Tip: Do you use licensed or unusual fonts? Coursepath supports a large number of fonts, but it can (rarely) occur that your exact font is not displayed correctly. In this case, you can use a similar font or save the PowerPoint beforehand as a PDF.
